Consultations are required before scheduling the initial service. The consultation cost of $100 is Non-refundable. The $100 consultation cost will be applied to the initial service only when the client schedules the initial service within 60 days of consultation. A down payment of 50% of the total cost of service is due at the time of scheduling the initial session. The remaining balance is due on the date of the initial session. The consultation cost will be applied at checkout on the date of initial service. Thereafter 60 days the consultation cost of $100 will not be applied to the initial cost. If the client does not schedule within 60 days a new consultation is required at the same cost of $100.

Consultations are extremely important!! During the consultation process, the client and technician will thoroughly go over the entire process, pre & post-care health conditions, contraindications, and client concerns, answer any additional questions, and a few other important factors before the pre-draw. We ask that all clients carefully read the information.

We offer virtual pre-consultations for individuals who live out of state or those who are not local and are highly interested in new brows.  Contact the spa by text at (757)609-1934 with your first/last name email address and a clear picture of both eyebrows, then a picture of the left and right. Pictures should be free of makeup.

If you had your PMU brows done previously by another artist

All potential clients that have their brows done by a Previous Artist, are required to schedule a "previous artist consultation". The cost is $130 and is Non-refundable. The charge may be applied to the initial session only if the client schedules the initial sessions with a down payment of 50% of the cost of service within 60 days.

If you are looking to have your touch-up (session 2 or annual touch up annual touch-up) and they were done by a previous artist you would still need to schedule a previous artist consultation because the initial service was not done by BEBJM. It is not a guarantee that we can correct the previous artist's work. Some clients may need removal session(s) based on the depth of the pigment implanted into the skin.

We do not offer removal services. However, we have a sister company to whom we send our referrals, then they come back to us for the brow session. The Cost may vary depending on how many sessions are needed.

FAQ's

What is Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing or Permanent Makeup (PMU)?
Eyebrow
Microblading, Ombre' Brows is known by several names, including microshading, micro pigmentation, micro feathering, Combo Brow, eyebrow embroidery, microstroking, 3D eyebrows, and eyebrow feathering. The names differ, but the procedures are relatively the same.
Is considered to be a semi-permanent tattoo procedure where a special handheld microblading
eyebrow pen, lip blushing, neutralizing, eyeliner, or machine deposit pigments into the epidermis (superficial) layer of the skin. This technique leaves eyebrows, lips, eyeliner, and or areola with a natural look. Unlike eyebrow tattoos often look unnatural.

Microblading:
A technique that creates hair-like strokes to mimic natural brow hairs. Brows will be shaped according to facial features and bone structure. This service will enhance the appearance of the eyebrows, giving them a natural and fuller look.

Ombre or Combo (Microshading):
This particular method of eyebrow embroidery gives the brow more of a "makeup/filled-in look"
Clients that enjoy a very soft naturally defined brow truly love this brow. Many clients love the new look because they're "get up and go" and Not having to worry about filling in their brows daily. The difference between Microblading, Shading, and Ombre' is that microblading will have a very natural"hair stroke" in your brows to make them fuller. Ombre will look as if there is powder applied to your brows daily leaving a natural finish as well. Microshading is a combination of both techniques. This technique is recommended for those who have sparse brows. Either method is definitely "Brow Goals" and looks amazingly natural!!
As a licensed skilled artist, I highly recommend those who are oily and have very little, thin, sparse brows to none would
benefit from the Ombre method. Our MOST popular technique is the "Ombre". "Combo" Brows are perfect for those who have 75%-80% of their eyebrows but have some sparse areas but want to enhance the shape and color, fill in those fine sparse areas.

Does it hurt?
Pain tolerance may differ from client to client. Keeping in mind that pain is subjective, most
clients say they experience little sting during the outline or no discomfort during the procedure. A topical anesthetic cream is applied prior to beginning the procedure to help aid in minimizing pain and discomfort. A numbing gel is applied throughout the session providing the client with a painless experience. Our clients enjoying their FREE nap!

How long does PMU last?
The healed results can last between one and two years. Depending upon factors such as skin type, iron deficiency, pigment color (lighter colors may tend to fade faster), daily regimen, lifestyle, and environment. However, annual maintenance is highly recommended, and color boost ensures the brow pigment remains vibrant, and fresh color and shaping are perfected. We highly encourage Routine eyebrow maintenance such as waxing and tweezing to remove unwanted hair. Based on the hair growth cycle clients schedule routine brow clean-ups on a 4,6,8 week basis whereas others may visit every 3 months.
Cosmetic tattooing is considered permanent as it does not wash away.
During the healing process * Do not pick or pull scabs off* Apply a thin layer of healing ointment provided in the aftercare kit. We want our clients to have amazing results and avoid any chances of infections.

How long does the scheduled procedure take to complete?

The procedure itself takes approximately 2.5-3 hours. Depending upon the client's needs. On your first initial session expect your appointment to last about 2.5-3 hours, which will include a recap from the consultation and begin the pre-draw before the actual brow procedure.
During your consultation, the client and artist will discuss your preferences and desired look. The artist will pre-draw the shape and design of your brows, the tattooing process will not begin, until the client
has approved the color and design that will satisfy the ideal shape for the client and a perfect shape.
NO ALCOHOL 24 hours before getting your brows tattooed

Is there any downtime?
You can go right back to work after the procedure. However, your brow area may feel tender
and slightly swollen for a f
ew days. You may resume exercise after 7 days. I advise against
swimming or drenching your brows with water for the next 6 weeks until your brows are fully healed.
Clients' brows will be slightly darker than normal, the brows will go through a peeling
process during the stages of healing and will lose about 30% of the pigment.

What is the healing process for clients?
Client brows should be fully healed within 7-14 days, but a touch-up is needed in 6 to 8 weeks after the first session to ensure the pigment has not faded, is evenly covered, and is perfectly shaped for the approval of the client.

What will my brows look like while they are healing?
The tattoo will look up to 30% darker and larger during the first week until it fully heals. During
the healing process, the tattoo may form a light scab or crust. This is not very noticeable and
can be concealed with brow gel or powder after 6 days or until the scab fully comes off in 7-10
days. We suggest NO MAKEUP is applied for at least 5-7 days because it is an open cut on your brows
and we want our clients to have amazing results and no infections.

How do I properly maintain the longevity of my PMU eyebrows?
To keep your brows looking their best, follow your professional instructions for aftercare provided. Always wear sunscreen on the tattooed area after completely healed when you are exposed to the sun or it can fade. Avoid exfoliating the tattooed area and keep your brows manicured by routine waxing or the preferred method of hair removal. Do NOT wax the actual tattooed area of your brows, as it can fade the tattoo. Schedule maintenance appointments as recommended by your professional.

How long should I wait before my second session (6-8 weeks) touch-up appointment?
The second session should be scheduled 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure and the cost is $75. The Cost is due at the time of scheduling. This appointment is to perfect the shape and replace the color that faded
after healing or if the client may want to darken. If the client does not return within the specific time frame, then the cost may vary depending upon technique and how much time thereafter the 6-8 week 2nd session time period the cost could range from $175-$275.

How often will I need to maintain my eyebrows/touch-ups moving forward?
Brow touch-ups are highly encouraged annually to maintain the life of your brow investment, your tattoo will not fade completely for 2-3 years. Scheduling touch-ups at least once a year to keep the color and shape fresh. Some may need to routinely have brow waxes, or a preferred method of hair removal technique every 4, 6, or 8 weeks in order to keep eyebrows free of unwanted hair, well-manicured, an
d precisely shaped.

Will I still need to fill in my brows with makeup?
No, PMU is not meant to entirely replace makeup. However, the purpose of PMU is to stop you from having to apply makeup to your eyebrows daily. Unless you are looking for a night of boldness and are looking for a more defined look.

Does Permanent Makeup (Microblading/Shading/Combo) prevent hair growth?

NO, Permanent Makeup will not prevent nor encourage future hair loss in the brow area.
The client would still need to have eyebrows waxed, threaded, or any other method of hair removal?

YES, Regular routine visits for hair removal whether your preferred method is Waxing, Tweezing,
Threading should be done every 4 weeks whereas others are every 6-8 weeks or every 3 months depending upon if he/she brows do not grow as they once did in the past. It is important that your Permanent Cosmetic Tattooer (PMU) artist maintains your brows.
